Who qualifies, how to register, and how to check your payment status in Tamil Nadu
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a Central Government income support scheme for small and marginal landholding farmers. Eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 per year, paid directly to their bank accounts in three installments of ₹2,000 each — with no intermediary. The scheme is fully funded by the Government of India.
All landholding farmer families with cultivable land are eligible UNLESS they fall into any of these exclusion categories: (1) Former or current holders of constitutional posts, (2) Former or current Ministers or MPs/MLAs, (3) Current or retired government employees, (4) Professionals (doctors, lawyers, engineers, CAs) registered with professional bodies, (5) Taxpayers who paid income tax in the last assessment year, (6) Persons who draw a monthly pension of ₹10,000 or more. If you do not fall into any of these categories, you are eligible.
You need: (1) Land ownership documents (patta / chitta / adangal in Tamil Nadu), (2) Aadhaar card, (3) Bank account number and IFSC code, (4) Mobile number. In Tamil Nadu, your land records can be verified through the Tamil Nadu land records portal (eservices.tn.gov.in).
Step 1: Visit pmkisan.gov.in and click 'New Farmer Registration'.
Step 2: Enter your Aadhaar number and select your state (Tamil Nadu).
Step 3: Fill in your personal details, land details (survey number, khata number), and bank account details.
Step 4: Upload land ownership documents.
Step 5: Submit. Your application will be verified by the state government's Revenue Department.
Alternatively, visit your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or the Seva Sankalp vehicle in your area — our team will complete the registration for you.
Go to pmkisan.gov.in and click 'Beneficiary Status'. Enter your Aadhaar number, account number, or mobile number. You can see which installments have been credited and the date of transfer. If your payment is pending or rejected, the reason will be shown — common issues are Aadhaar-bank account mismatch or land record discrepancies, both of which our team can help resolve.
Many Tamil Nadu farmers are eligible but either not registered or facing payment issues due to Aadhaar-bank mismatch or outdated land records. The Seva Sankalp team assists with registration and resolving pending applications. Contact us on WhatsApp.
