What is PMSBY?

Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana provides accidental death and disability insurance of ₹2 lakh at a premium of just ₹20 per year — one of the most affordable insurance schemes in the world. The premium is auto-debited from your bank account every year.

Who is Eligible?

Indian citizens aged 18–70 years with a savings bank account linked to an Aadhaar card. You can enroll through any bank where you hold an account.

How to Enroll

Visit your bank branch or net banking portal and request PMSBY enrollment. Alternatively, enroll via the Jan Suraksha portal or any CSC. You can also enroll through most banking apps. The ₹20 premium is deducted automatically from your account on 1 June each year.
