What is Ayushman Bharat 70+?
From 2024, ALL senior citizens aged 70 years and above are entitled to ₹5 lakh health insurance per year under Ayushman Bharat — regardless of their income, existing health insurance, or pension status. This is a separate Vaya Vandana card, distinct from the family PM-JAY card.

Who is Eligible?
Every Indian citizen aged 70 years or above. No income criteria. No exclusions based on existing insurance or pension.
Documents Required
• Aadhaar card (for age and identity verification)
• Mobile number for OTP
How to Apply
Visit pmjay.gov.in, go to the 'Ayushman Vaya Vandana' section and register using your Aadhaar. Alternatively, visit any empanelled hospital or CSC with the senior citizen's Aadhaar card. The card is issued free of charge.
