Interest subvention loans, livelihood training, and market linkages for rural women
Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana — National Rural Livelihoods Mission is the Central Government's flagship poverty reduction program. It organises rural women into Self-Help Groups (SHGs), builds their savings habits, provides access to subsidised credit, and links them to livelihood opportunities and government schemes.
• Revolving Fund of ₹10,000–₹15,000 for new SHGs
• Community Investment Fund for established SHGs
• Bank linkage — loans at 7% interest with 3% subvention (effective 4% for timely repayment)
• Skill training and livelihood promotion
• Access to government schemes and markets
• Insurance and social security linkage
Rural women from poor households, particularly SC/ST families, minorities, and households headed by women. Women form SHGs of 10–20 members from the same village. The Gram Sabha identifies eligible households.
• Aadhaar card (for all SHG members)
• Bank accounts (individual or SHG joint account)
• BPL / income certificate
• Passbook photographs
Contact the Block Mission Management Unit (BMMU) in your block, or speak to the village-level Community Resource Person (CRP). You can form or join a Self-Help Group with 10–20 women from your village. Once the SHG is active and savings are maintained for 3 months, bank linkage and government support begin automatically.
