25% of stipend reimbursed to employer — encourages hiring trained youth
The National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme encourages industries to hire apprentices by reimbursing 25% of the stipend paid (up to ₹1,500/month per apprentice) to the employer. For youth, it provides real-world industrial training with a monthly stipend, leading to a formal apprenticeship certificate.

Youth aged 14 years and above who have completed Class 5 or above. Different trades require different minimum qualifications (Class 8, 10, ITI, diploma, or degree). You can search and apply for apprenticeship positions on the portal.

• Passport-size photograph
Register as an apprentice at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in. Search for openings by trade, location, and qualification. Apply directly to employers. Once selected, the employer registers the contract on the portal. Stipend is credited monthly to your bank account.
