PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India provides merit-based scholarships to students from Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), and De-notified Tribes (DNT). Selection is through a national entrance test (YASASVI Entrance Test — YET) conducted by NTA.
• ₹75,000/year for Class 9 and 10 students
• ₹1,25,000/year for Class 11 and 12 students
• Covers tuition, boarding, lodging, and uniforms at residential schools
• Merit-based — selected through national test
• Managed by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment
Students belonging to OBC, EBC, or DNT categories whose family income is below ₹2.5 lakh per year. Must be Class 8 pass (for Class 9 scholarship) or Class 10 pass (for Class 11 scholarship). Must be enrolled or seeking admission in a residential school/Navodaya Vidyalaya/Kendriya Vidyalaya type institution.

• Caste/community certificate (OBC/EBC/DNT)

• Previous class mark sheet
• Admission proof at eligible institution
Register on the YET portal (yet.nta.ac.in) when the notification is released (typically July–August). Appear for the YASASVI Entrance Test. Selected students receive scholarship directly to their bank account. The scholarship can be renewed each year based on academic performance.
