What is PMMSY?
Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana is the flagship scheme for the fisheries sector. It provides financial assistance for infrastructure development, modernisation of fishing vessels, post-harvest management, and livelihood support to fishermen, fish farmers, and fish vendors.

Who is Eligible?
Fishermen, fish farmers, fish workers, fish vendors, fishing vessel owners, aquaculture farmers, SHGs of fisherwomen, and fishing cooperatives. Both marine and inland fisheries are covered.

• Fisherman registration card (if existing)
• Bank account details
• Land documents (for aquaculture)
• Fishing vessel registration (if applicable)
• Caste certificate (for SC/ST/OBC benefits)
How to Apply
Apply through the Tamil Nadu Fisheries Department or through the PMMSY portal at pmmsy.dof.gov.in. You can also apply through your local fisheries cooperative or District Fisheries Office. The Seva Sankalp team can help you prepare and submit your application.
